How SoundBridge Works
How is SoundBridge different from other platforms?
Other platforms tell you where your music has been heard. SoundBridge tells you who actually wants more of you and where they are. We track what listeners do, not just what they play. A listener who plays your track three times, tips you directly, and says they would like to hear you live is a completely different signal from someone who streamed your track once from a playlist. SoundBridge separates those two types of listener and builds your audience from the ones who genuinely want to be in your world.
How does discovery work on SoundBridge?
When you upload your music your tracks are served to listeners who have opted in for your genre and mood in your location. But we do not stop at genre matching. We pay attention to listener behaviour. Repeat listens, tips, shares, and live interest expressions all build a clearer picture of who your real audience is. The more your listeners engage, the more precisely SoundBridge understands your audience and finds more people like them.
What is the difference between streaming data and SoundBridge data?
Other platforms can tell you that thousands of people played your song last month. That is consumption data. SoundBridge tells you which listeners played your track more than twice, which ones tipped you directly, and which ones said they would like to hear you live and where they are located. That is intention data. One tells you where your music reached. The other tells you where your audience lives and wants to experience you in person.
How does event promotion work?
When you have enough listener data SoundBridge understands where your audience is concentrated, when they are available, and which cities have the strongest live interest in your sound. When you post an event SoundBridge promotes it for free, not to everyone, but to the specific listeners who expressed interest in hearing you live and to fans of your genre in that city who have not yet discovered you. Your event reaches the right people automatically with no ad spend required.
Can I earn from my music without having thousands of streams?
Yes. When a listener feels something while playing your music on SoundBridge they can tip you directly. You keep up to 90% of every tip instantly. There is no stream threshold to reach, no eligibility requirement, and no waiting period. Your first listener can be your first payment.
What is the Live Interest feature?
When a listener plays your track more than once a subtle prompt appears asking if they would like to hear you perform this song live. If they say yes their location and availability preference is captured. This gives you real demand data before you have planned a single event. You can see which cities have the most interest in hearing you live and plan accordingly rather than guessing.
Does SoundBridge replace my distribution to other platforms?
No. SoundBridge is not a distribution platform. It is your professional home where you build direct relationships with your audience, earn directly from your fans, and plan your career intelligently. Distribution to streaming platforms is a separate step and SoundBridge will be introducing a trusted distribution partner integration very soon.
How does the service marketplace work?
If you offer professional services such as session work, mixing, production, vocal coaching or sound engineering you can list them on SoundBridge with your rates and availability. Other creators, event organisers and industry professionals can find and book you directly through the platform without you needing to cold pitch anyone.
What ways can I earn on SoundBridge?
You can earn through tips and song requests (Request Room), live engagement, event ticket sales, gig and professional services, and a monthly listen-based reward for top-performing tracks. What you earn depends on how you use the platform and what you offer fans.
What is the Request Room, and how does it help me earn?
Request Room lets fans request songs and send tips in a flow tied to your session. When fans pay through the official Request Room path, those payments are recorded for you so support stays trackable and aligned with payouts—instead of scattered off-platform messages.
How does inviting fans for tipping work?
Point fans to your SoundBridge profile and tipping or Request Room links so they support you on-platform. That keeps tips and history in one place. As more fans join and use SoundBridge, tips and discovery can compound— especially when you pair invites with new releases, live moments, or events.
What are Live Rooms, and can I earn there?
Live Rooms are for virtual audiences—live performance or hangouts with fans joining remotely. Live Rooms are available on the SoundBridge mobile app (not fully on web). Earnings can come from engagement that leads to tips, requests, or follow-on purchases, depending on how you run the room and what you promote.
How do I earn from event ticket sales?
Create events and sell tickets on SoundBridge. Ticket revenue flows through the platform’s payments setup. Keep your event details accurate and complete your payout profile so sales and settlements go smoothly. See How to create an event and related articles in Help Center.
What are gig services, and how do I earn from them?
Gig services are how you sell your skills as a creator or service provider—sessions, performance work, collaboration, or other offerings you list. Clients book and pay through the service flow. See the Service Provider Guide for the full picture.
Does SoundBridge pay creators for listens? What is the monthly listen reward?
SoundBridge runs a monthly reward for strong listening performance: the creator with the highest listens on an audio track in a given month can receive a fixed monthly payout in the $10–$20 range. Exact eligibility and amounts may be communicated in-product or in official creator updates. This is separate from tips and tickets—it is a performance bonus for monthly listening.
How to get started (quick links)
Set up your profile, use the creator dashboard and Service Provider tools, add bank details for payouts, upload content, and share your SoundBridge link on other socials. As SoundBridge grows, the same link reaches more fans on-platform.
Verified Professional: Persona (government ID + face selfie)
SoundBridge does not collect your ID or selfie on our own forms. Service provider identity checks run through Persona: you submit a government-issued ID and complete face verification (selfie / liveness) inside Persona's hosted flow in your browser.
Where to start (web):Dashboard → left sidebar, open Service Provider → find the section titled Identity verification (Persona) → click Get Verified Professional. That calls our backend and opens Persona in a new tab (if pop-ups are blocked, the site may open Persona in the same tab instead). You need an active Premium or Unlimited subscription and the prerequisites shown in that dashboard section (profile, offerings, portfolio, Stripe payouts ready, etc.) before you can start.
Status after you finish: your Service Provider dashboard updates when Persona completes review. For step-by-step detail, see Getting verified as a provider.
